Revere Middle School Sports Update!

8th grade volleyball lost to Green in 2….25-19 and 25-20.  High passers of the night were Jillian Gentry with 32 points, Chloe Stile with 28, and Emily Brinkman with 22.  Most hits were by Chloe Stile with 4 and Erica Roberts and Meredith Zendlo with 3 each.  Most points scored were by Shelby Kohmann with 9 and 2 aces, Ellen Race with 4 points and 3 aces, and Meredith Zendlo with 4 points and 1 ace.
Attention all Revere 6th grade girls – If you are interested in trying out for Revere Travel Basketball, tryouts will be Sept 26th and Sept 27 at Hillcrest from 8-9 PM.  Please see Coach Verde, Coach DiCaprio, Coach Casey, or Coach Gough for more information.
The 7th grade volleyball team remains undefeated!  Beating Green yesterday, the girls completed the cycle in the Suburban League.  Leading the Minuteladies were Erinn Kahoe with 5 aces; Kelly Scheetz with 4 aces, 2 kills, and 1 assist; Cali Amato with 4 aces and 3 kills; Victoria Farian with 2 aces, 1 kill, and 1 assist; Madi Williams with 2 aces and Lauren Price with 1 ace.  The girls showed great teamwork and start back up @ Cloverleaf tomorrow.  Wish them luck!
Yesterday, the Cross -Country team swept Cloverleaf off our home course.  The boys team beat them 50 – 17.  Mark Olseon, Nicholas Jones, and Matt Hoffmann finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall.  Ryan Nadzam and Joel Niemi moved back up into our top 5.  Paul Kubec, Dave Hansen, Brandon Scarr, Mike Taylor, and Jeff Medvick had fantastic times.  The girls team clobbered the Colts 35 – 22.  Tori Holvey had a tough competitor from Cloverleaf to race, but beat her in the end.  Audrey Harding narrowly missed beating her, too.  Dani Dudas, Kailey Gentner, and Joci Scott scored for out top 5.  Other fine performances were by Halie Nitch-ee, Hannah Hoffmann, and Summer Kilbane.  The team runs at the Cloverleaf Invitational on Saturday
